Back to Job Openings Part Time Healthcare Course Facilitators (non-benefitted) Posted 2 days ago Apply Share Link copied The Division of Workforce and Economic Development seeks part-time course facilitators to teach healthcare career programs. The course facilitators will report to either the Associate Dean or Assistant Director.
Programs:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Train students according to MA Department of Public Health regulations and prepare them for clinical placement and certification testing.
Phlebotomy:
Teach skills required for phlebotomy, including obtaining 120 successful sticks, support clinical placements, and prepare students for certification.
EKG Technician:
Prepare students for careers as Electrocardiogram Technicians and support clinical training.
CPR and First Aid:
Provide CPR and First Aid certification training for healthcare and non-healthcare students.
Dental Assisting:
Teach theoretical and practical dental assisting skills, including modern technologies, patient care, and clinical simulations.
Responsibilities:
Teach hybrid (online and in-person) evening or weekend classes. Prepare lab spaces. Support student enrollment, attendance, and progress tracking. Use MS Office and learning systems (Canvas/Moodle). Maintain administrative records such as checklists and reports.
Requirements:
CNA:
Licensed Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year experience and DPH approval.
Phlebotomy:
Minimum 3 years of experience and teaching experience preferred.
EKG:
Minimum 3 years of experience and teaching experience preferred.
CPR/First Aid:
Certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Dental Assisting:
BA/BS degree with ADA or DANB certification.
General Requirements:
Reliable transportation to Chelsea and/or Charlestown campuses. Multilingual candidates preferred.
Additional Information:
Pay range: $45-$80 per hour (contract position). Part-Time Non-Benefited position. Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as noted above area encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience has prepared them with equivalent combination of education, training and experience required for the responsibilities of this position. Please note that as a condition of employment, the final candidate will undergo Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background screenings in accordance with state regulations. The results of these screening may impact the hiring decision.
