The Nursing Discipline at Delta College seeks a full-time tenure track faculty member dedicated to equity, retention, and student success. The instructor will be responsible for teaching effectively in face-to-face, blended, and online formats. Candidates should be prepared to teach evenings, weekends, and at multiple locations as needed, and must embrace the college's commitment to belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion (BEDI). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but
Are Not Limited To:
Demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Teach in both classroom and clinical settings with expertise in Med-Surg Nursing. Work in varied settings to promote student growth and success. Relate effectively to diverse constituents and utilize strong pedagogy skills. Demonstrate a commitment to Delta College's mission, vision, and values. Provide inclusive learning opportunities that meet diverse student needs. Focus on student learning, assessment, retention, and completion. Develop dynamic and engaging learning environments that support success. Collaborate enthusiastically with colleagues to create effective learning experiences. Demonstrate understanding and appreciation of diversity. Serve the community through outreach and college service activities. Commit to ongoing educational and professional development. Engage in course, discipline, program development, and assessment work. Attend and participate actively in discipline, division, and college meetings. Use learning management systems for course delivery. Maintain professional development to stay current in the field. Possess excellent communication skills and work effectively in various instructional settings.
Required Qualifications:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required. Current or obtainable Michigan Registered Nurse License. Minimum of two years full-time equivalent (4000 hours) clinical experience as an RN. Clinical experience in acute care, specifically Med-Surg Nursing. Current or obtainable BLS Certification. One year of college-level didactic and/or clinical teaching. Availability to teach evenings and weekends.
