$0.00•$0.00 Job Description North Hennepin Community College is seeking applications for potential temporary part-time and/or adjunct Nursing instructors within the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. NHCC is committed to excellence in teaching and learning as we educate the next generation of nurses. Faculty members collaborate in the delivery of nursing courses to prepare students to complete their Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and to take the national nursing licensure exam, NCLEX-RN.
Instructor Responsibilities:
Teach lecture, lab, or clinical course(s) to a diverse student population using innovative and engaging active learning strategies. Develop and/or edit instructional materials. Assessment of student performance by multiple methods. Organize/maintain instructional labs and equipment when assigned to lab courses. Utilize campus technology to maintain professional skills & connect with faculty, staff & students. Collaborate with colleagues and students to promote success in the Nursing Program. Participate in department meetings. Minimum Qualifications Education Requirement Bachelor degree in nursing Occupational Experience Requirement Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse. Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. Professional Requirement Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license Preferred Qualification Master's, DNP, or Ph.D. in Nursing. Experience teaching college-level nursing, including theory, lab, and clinical. Experience serving diverse and historically under-served populations. Evidence of continuous professional development related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Proven commitment to student success and program completion. Experience with learner outcomes assessment and evaluation. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and evidence of a strong and clear understanding and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community colleges and their students, faculty, staff, administrators, and communities they serve. Working knowledge of instructional techniques and delivery methods such as online education, learning management systems (D2L Brightspace), digital technology, etc. Collaborative team player who is dedicated to student success and the success of the Nursing Program Other Requirements Current and former employees must be in good standing with North Hennepin Community College to be considered for the position. Salary Range As per the 2023-2025 MSCF contract, an adjunct faculty member will receive $775•1,650 per credit. If a faculty member meets the eligibility requirements to be considered temporary part-time, the per-credit range is $1,435.57•2,396.43.
