Adjunct Faculty-Nurse Anesthesia

GENERAL SUMMARY

Adjunct Faculty appointments are made for specified courses and for a specified term or terms as needed. Demonstrates implementation of the mission, vision, goals and values of the College as well as the philosophy of the division in which assigned. Responsible for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the theoretical, laboratory, and/or clinical components of assigned courses. Demonstrates the ability to teach in individual, small and large group settings and functions under the direction of the Dean of the program. Participates in ongoing systematic evaluation activities as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Theoretical knowledge of field of study for application to educational settings. 2. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions. 3. Knowledge of teaching learning principles, teaching strategies and instructional media. 4. Skill in providing education and supporting students from diverse backgrounds. 5. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Basic Nursing Assistant Instructor:

Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act. Must provide evidence of certification or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations. Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience required. Documentation of completion of a course in teaching adults or experience in teaching adults or supervising Nurse Aides required.
