We are seeking experienced, Master's Prepared registered nurses to serve as Clinical Nursing Instructors (Clinical Mentors) for students in our undergraduate nursing program. In this clinical role, you will guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences at healthcare facilities throughout New Jersey. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to take on assignments based on your availability and our program needs.Key Highlights of This Opportunity:

As a Clinical Mentor, you will:- Mentor students through hands-on clinical learning experiences in healthcare facilities and in the skills/simulation laboratory
- Facilitate student learning and skill development in clinical environments
- Assess and evaluate student clinical performance using standardized evaluation tools
- Maintain safe learning environments focused on patient safety and professional socialization
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student development
- Complete required clinical evaluations and documentation
- Communicate student progress to program leadership and course mentors
- Maintain positive relationships with clinical site personnel
- Collaborate with program leadership to support program objectives
- Ensure compliance with all University and clinical site policies, procedures, and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN or higher)
- Current, unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Three (3) years of progressive, professional nursing clinical experience
- Current CPR certification
- Professional liability insurance (minimum $1,000,000/$3,000,000 coverage)
- Current health clearances and a clean background check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office, email, and web-based learning systems
Preferred:
- Clinical teaching, instruction, or precepting experience
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
As an independent contractor, you will need to:- Obtain a Federal Tax EIN (Employer Identification Number): Free process through the IRS website, typically completed in minutes

New Jersey:
Obtain a Business Register Certificate (BRC) - we provide step-by-step guidance- Understand tax obligations: You will receive a 1099 form and are responsible for your own tax payments
