Plaza College invites applications for the position of nursing faculty (full-time) in their upper division Nursing (B.S.) Program. Applicants must have both recent clinical and teaching experience in one or more of the following specialty areas:
- Health Assessment
- Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Pharmacology
- Mental Health Nursing
- Maternal-Child Nursing
- Community Nursing
- Nursing Simulations All faculty must be available to teach on-site at the Plaza College campus in Forest Hills, Queens.
Courses run three semesters per year (Sept-Dec, Jan-April, May-Aug).
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements include Master's Degree in Nursing, RN licensure in NYS, and appropriate specialized experience.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Prior clinical nursing experience
- Prior teaching experience with a strong preference for teaching
- Experience using instructional technology
- Experience with student-centered and high-impact pedagogy
