Job Overview St. Paul's School of Nursing (SPSON) in Queens, NY is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Nursing Faculty to join our team. Job Description We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, Psychiatric Nursing and Dosage Calculation in our Nursing program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Nursing. The typical teaching load is minimum of two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation. Requirements Master's Degree in Nursing required Current knowledge in one's area of responsibility A commitment to teaching and helping students develop an abiding interest in education and a desire to help the college maintain the standards appropriate to an institution of higher education Ability to maintain rapport with colleagues and students and to conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism Documented knowledge of education, instructional delivery, adult learning required Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing and through learning technologies such as computers and e-mails Ability to work with staff, faculty, students and the Academic Leadership Team Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students through your expertise and dedication!
