Job Overview St. Paul's School of Nursing (SPSON) in Queens, NY is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Nursing Faculty to join our team. Job Description We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic Clinical Nursing Instructors to supervise and teach students in the clinical setting within our Nursing Program. This is a part-time professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Nursing. Clinical rotations are available Monday through Sunday for both Day and Evening schedules. Clinical placements are located throughout Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Manhattan. We are currently seeking instructors in the following specialty areas: Medical Surgical Nursing Pediatrics Obstetrics (OB) Psychiatric Nursing Responsibilities include supervising students during clinical rotations, facilitating clinical learning experiences, evaluating student performance, maintaining clinical documentation, providing guidance and support to students, and participating in department trainings and meetings. Requirements A minimum of masters' degree with 15 semester credit hours in the discipline for appointment as a faculty member; Current knowledge in one's area of responsibility A commitment to teaching and helping students develop an abiding interest in education and a desire to help the college maintain the standards appropriate to an institution of higher education Ability to maintain rapport with colleagues and students and to conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism Documented knowledge of education, instructional delivery, adult learning required Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing and through learning technologies such as computers and e-mails Ability to work with staff, faculty, students and the Academic Leadership Team Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students through your expertise and dedication!
