Full Time Faculty Job Summary:
Responsible for conducting clinical instruction in the nursing program. Provides students instruction, in clinical experiences, and professionalism necessary for licensure. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for teaching and evaluating each student's achievement and progress. Organizes, implements, and revises curriculum materials to comply with program standards. Incorporates instructional support materials throughout the course. Administers formative and summative evaluations as required. Contributes to the educational growth of the student through informal methods (e.g., informal counseling and/or advising, casual conversation, through posted office hours). Participates in Curriculum Committee, faculty meetings, and works cooperatively with nursing administration, and other faculty to meet student needs and accomplish the goals of the program. Assists in delivering a program that complies with requirements of the Ohio Board of Nursing. Completes school reports; participates in faculty meetings and commencement ceremonies as scheduled. Proficient in interpersonal communication (verbal, written, and electronic), computer skills, and organizational skills. Perform other tasks and assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Licensure:
Completion of an approved registered nursing education program A minimum of three years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse A minimum of a Mastor's degree (MSN) in nursing A minimum of two years of formal teaching experience preferred Current, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio Faculty are expected to demonstrate competence in each of the following areas:
