Nursing Instructors (ADN-RN & Practical Nursing Diploma) F/T & P/T

Seeking faculty for ADN-RN and Practical Nursing Diploma programs. Day/evening opportunities for both programs. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday day shift. Multiple classroom teaching needs, both day and evening.

ADN-RN:

BSN required, MSN preferred. Recent (within the last 5 years) acute care experience (med-surg, critical care, intermediate care) preferred. Must have 3+ years of employment experience. Classroom and clinical opportunities available.

Practical Nursing:

BSN preferred.

Required:

Current active unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio, and recent clinical experience is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Flexibility in scheduling a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

A master's degree (BSN for PN) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the subject area. Previous teaching experience and experience with curriculum development and assessment.

Demonstrated:

In-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught. Proficiency in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses will be taught. Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff. Belief in and concern for community service. High ethical and moral character. Proficiency with email. Willingness to teach in a variety of instructional delivery modes including the use of instructional technologies and online learning management systems. Commitment to diversity. Commitment to meeting students' learning needs and empowering students in their learning endeavors.

Summary of Duties:

The faculty member is responsible for providing professional, quality work as a teaching faculty member. Work includes facilitating student learning by conducting and teaching technical education courses at the undergraduate level.

Multiple Work Hours:

Instructional hours may include days, evenings and weekends for clinical. No major holidays.
