Days Full time (Monday-Friday) Exempt role- 1.0FTE Job Summary:
Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate processes to meet the educational, development and competency need of nursing and nursing support staff through effective use of a variety of learning activities. Align activities with programs and processes the standardized functions for Nursing Professional Development.Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years current applicable clinical experience in a health care setting required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
- Demonstrated ability to plan development activities that impact positive outcomes and performance.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
- Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach required.
- Knowledge of systems and change theory, individual, and group behaviors, teaching and learning principles, and research outcomes required.
- Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities required.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Based on position, one or more of the following courses including STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care or other specialty training courses is preferred
- Certification and ANPD or clinical specialty preferred.
