Job Description

Veterinary Nursing Faculty- Full Time Full-time Veterinary Nursing Faculty Harcum College has an opening for a full-time CVT/faculty member.
Qualifications/Skills :
B.S. or M.S. degree required Current Pennsylvania veterinary technology license (CVT) Previous teaching experience in a veterinary nursing/technology program required. Teaching experience in clinical practice will also be considered. Must be available 12 months/year
Responsibilities :
Teaching responsibility of 15 credits per semester which may include both lecture and laboratory classes. Active participation in curriculum development and individual course modification for improvement as needed Effectively plan, organize and execute the instruction of students. Assess student needs and progress in both theory and/or clinical skills. Provide students with lab experiences that enhance theoretical classroom concepts. Participate in Admissions events as needed. Take an active role as an advisor for the SCNAVTA group. Other duties as assigned. Scholarship Maintain current knowledge of subject areas taught. Demonstrate continued professional development and maintain active CVT license. Service Actively participate in College-wide committees Foster effective public relations Actively participate in professional associations Assist with preparation of materials required for accreditation Actively participate in Department Committees (ie. IACUC, etc.) as assigned by
