Job Description

Position Summary Job Description:
The Stabler Department of Nursing is seeking to hire qualified adjunct clinical faculty with experience in medical-surgical or women's health nursing to provide clinical instruction in the Baccalaureate degree program. Adjunct faculty are expected to instruct students in the clinical setting; provide support and guidance; and evaluate performance of learning outcomes.
Outcome:
Successful hiring of at least 4 adjunct faculty to teach an undergraduate nursing clinical for NUR334/335 or
NUR328/329
Essential Functions Maintains current knowledge related to clinical policies and procedures. Keeps the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns. Serves as a professional role model for other faculty, staff, and students in the clinical setting. Evaluates weekly assignments and provides feedback to students in a timely manner. Adheres to applicable regulatory rules and standards. Experience and Education Required Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania Baccalaureate degree in nursing Graduate degree in nursing or plans to complete a graduate degree within 5 years Expertise and experience in medical-surgical or women's health nursing Required Skills and Qualifications Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team. Adjunct faculty work in collaboration with full-time faculty to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that assists students in the integration of knowledge, interprofessional communication, and development of professional values in the clinical practice setting.
