Gonzaga University's Department of Nursing seeks to fill one 50% FTE, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer beginning fall semester 2026. The department is seeking applicants to teach in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, teaching graduate nursing students in online didactic courses, including on campus immersions held 1-2 times per semester based on course and on weekends. The Gonzaga MSN and DNP didactic courses are offered online; the practicum courses for the Graduate program are arranged in students' home communities and include intensive on-campus sessions. Graduate programs are offered on a 12-month basis, summer contracts are optional and offered in addition to the 9-month position. Teach 6 credits per semester (Fall & Spring) Participate in departmental councils/committees, as well as School of Health Sciences committees Participate in curriculum review/revision Advise students, guiding them in meeting degree requirements and career goals Pursue relevant professional developmentMinimum Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in nursing. Active, unencumbered Washington state RN (or MSL) and Washington state ARNP license with FNP Certification at time of hire. Minimum 2 years current practice as an FNP. Previous teaching experience with undergraduate and/or graduate nursing students including didactic and practicum courses. Record of supporting students with diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated knowledge about cultural competence in academic and health care settings.Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree (DNP/PhD) in nursing Experience teaching online courses. Remote work may be considered based on the candidate's location.
