The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in maternity and neonatal care, complemented by extensive teaching and clinical experience within university settings. This role involves delivering comprehensive instruction, developing curricula, and mentoring future healthcare professionals specializing in maternal and newborn health. The successful applicant will play a vital role in advancing educational excellence while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical practice. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement engaging curricula tailored to maternity and neonatal nursing education, incorporating current best practices and evidence-based research. Deliver dynamic classroom lectures, clinical demonstrations, and practical training sessions to Nursing students Supervise and evaluate students' clinical performance in hospital settings, providing constructive feedback to foster professional growth Utilize learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas to organize course materials, assessments, and student progress documentation effectively. Participate in curriculum review committees and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the nursing education program. Mentor students and junior faculty members, fostering a supportive environment that encourages critical thinking, innovation, and lifelong learning. Requirements Proven supervising experience within clinical and educational settings related to maternity or neonatal care. Extensive teaching experience with a focus on obstetrics, pediatrics, or neonatal intensive care units (NICU). Strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, and higher education teaching methodologies. Familiarity with learning technology platforms such as Canvas or similar LMS tools for course management. In-depth knowledge of nursing practices including patient care protocols, medical terminology, care plans, and documentation review processes. Experience working with students in adult education environments across diverse healthcare disciplines. Competence in nursing administration roles such as nurse management or leadership within hospital settings. Skills in critical care nursing, acute care procedures, primary care practices, and pediatric patient management are highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a focus on quality education and patient safety. Educational Qualification :
Masters Degree is required, Doctored Degree preferred.
