Advertised Job Summary The University of South Carolina Beaufort Department of Nursing invites applications for a highly motivated full-time faculty member to join the growing BSN program. We are looking for an innovative, energetic educator to manage and oversee the simulation program (50%) in addition to teaching responsibilities (50%) in the BSN program. The faculty member should have a background in clinical healthcare, experience in high-fidelity healthcare simulation and current simulation technology, evidence of technological literacy experience, and a commitment to competency-based education. Applications for a tenured/tenure track, 9-11 month position are now being accepted with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026. Applicants should be prepared to upload a cover letter, teaching statement, and CV. As the search advances reference letters will also be required. Your references will be sent a link to upload their reference letter. Reference letters should be on official letterhead and signatures are required. Required Education and Experience Doctorate in Nursing or closely related field; unencumbered multi-state Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for RN licensure in the state of South Carolina; formal training in simulation pedagogy and experience with high-fidelity simulation and educational electronic health records; competence utilizing a broad range of technologies in the classroom and laboratory setting. Experience in the care of adult medical-surgical populations; strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHES) desired or completion of the certification within two years of employment. Previous teaching experience at the baccalaureate level. Experience with high fidelity simulation and national certification are a plus.
