Job Description
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Morristown is accepting applications for the position of Practical Nursing Instructor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current TN Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Requires three (3) years of applicable experience in the nursing field
- Teaching experience is preferred
- Computer skills required
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have good organization and planning skills
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, faculty, staff, general public, and industry Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Teach all aspects of Practical Nursing curriculum
- Supervise clinical rotations of students
- Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual student progress
- Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports
- Assist in recruitment and placement of students
- Must be willing to remain current in the field by participating in professional development activities
- Assist with the recruit of students, placement of graduates and follow-up graduates
- Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude
- Promote the College and LPN program in the community
