Job Description
Assistant/Associate Professor in
Franklin Mountains State Park?along with abundant opportunities for year-round hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. For sports fans, the UTEP Miners offer exciting Division I college athletics at several campus venues, including Sun Bowl Stadium - where one of the oldest football bowl games takes place annually - and the Don Haskins Center arena. Southwest University Park, located a mile away in lively downtown El Paso, is home to the El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple-A baseball affiliate of the San Diego Padres, and the El Paso Locomotive FC, a professional soccer team founded in 2019. The College of Nursing (CON) is housed within the College of Health Sciences and Nursing building on the main campus. Its state-of-the-art facilities include a 16,000-square-foot Simulation Center, technology-enhanced classrooms, conference spaces, an advising center, student study areas, and individual faculty offices. The College offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs: a traditional four-year BSN, a one-year online RN-to-BSN, online MSN programs in Nursing Education, Nursing Administration and Management, and six Nurse Practitioner specialties (family nurse practitioner, adult gerontology acute nurse practitioner, pediatric nurse practitioner-primary care and acute care, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and neonatal nurse practitioner), as well as a DNP program offered in a weekend format.

Job Description:
The University of Texas at El Paso College of Nursing invites applications for a tenured-track faculty position at the academic rank of Assistant/Associate Professor to begin in fall 2026. The tenure-track faculty appointment carries the expectation for teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as appropriate. The successful tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an externally funded research program. The candidates are expected to provide service within the College of Nursing, UTEP, the nursing profession, and the local community. There is one position currently open for Assistant/Associate Professor (tenured track).Requirements:
A PhD in Nursing is required. Applicants should have an MSN in Nursing and be eligible for an RN or APRN license in Texas.Additional Information:
