Assistant/Associate Professor Nurse Anesthesia (GPNA) Texas Wesleyan University - 4.1 Fort Worth, TX Job Details 8 hours ago Qualifications Nursing Doctoral degree RN License Anesthesiology CRNA Nursing Full Job Description Posting Details Position Information Job Title Assistant/Associate Professor Nurse Anesthesia (GPNA) Position Summary The Assistant/Associate Professor for the GPNA is an academically qualified, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who meets state and national standards for licensure and certification. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, didactic instruction in face-to-face or online formats including simulation center; mentoring scholarly projects, and clinical site visits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists the Program Director and Associate Program Director as needed to maintain smooth operation of the program Serve as advisor to assigned students/cohort Attends ADCE and AANA meetings regularly for educational updates and networking Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of the DNAP program as assigned Attends events related to orientation, commencement, and alumni affairs Recruits, interviews, and admit applicants Face-to-face and/or on-line delivery and evaluation of assigned courses Chairs Doctoral Scholarly Work projects Maintain current CRNA certification Complete clinical site visits as assigned Maintains clinical practice Serves as faculty in the simulation lab Education, Certifications and/or Licenses A doctoral degree in related field Current RN license Current CRNA certification Experience 3 years as a practicing CRNA (preferred) Teaching (theory or clinical) experience (preferred) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to function clinically as a competent CRNA Ability to professionally represent and promote the profession and Wesleyan to the public Thorough understanding of nurse anesthesia and its application in the classroom as it relates to nurse anesthesia students Ability to work effectively with other University personnel Ability to comply with rules, standards, regulations, and laws related to student records Ability to adhere to University and departmental policies and procedures Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters while complying with FERPA regulations Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities Ability to be dedicated to the program's success and to individual students Posting Detail Information Posting Number 2016AS1113P Posting Open Date 06/08/2026 Open Until Filled Yes Posting Close Date Special Instructions to Applicants Please submit a cover letter and cv
