Visit Tri-Cities Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Benton-Franklin Trends Here's how you will support our mission Columbia Basin College invites applications for a passionate and collaborative educator to deliver a diverse array of courses in Nursing Science through lab, simulation, and didactic instruction consistent with the ongoing needs of the nursing department. The ideal candidate should demonstrate versatility, keen interest in multiple nursing fields, and an openness to teach using different formats and cutting-edge, inclusive educational methods. This position reports to the Director for Nursing Programs. The salary range for this position is $80,024.00 - $84,074.00 for a 176-day contract over the Instructional Year (Fall/Winter/Spring Quarters). Additional compensation may be available for assignment of summer quarter courses or courses taught outside of the full-time position during fall, winter and spring quarters. This position qualifies for the Nurse Educator Differential Pay on top of the base salary. The Nurse Educator Supplemental Pay is an additional 26.5% on top of the base salary which is funded by the Legislature in accordance with MOU 014 - Nurse Educator Supplemental Pay. The supplemental pay is exclusively contingent upon State funding appropriated to the College. Relocation expenses are part of the employment offer for the successful candidate if the candidate relocates to the Tri-Cities area from outside of a 175-mile radius. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing from an institutionally accredited college or university; OR Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an institutionally accredited college or university and ability to complete a Master's degree in Nursing within three (3) years of hire; AND Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Washington State or must be able to acquire Washington State Registered Nurse License at the time of hire; Three (3) full-time equivalent years of medical/surgical nursing work experience; Able to meet vocational certification standards; and Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment, with a focus on supporting the academic success of Hispanic and other underserved populations. Experience incorporating inclusive pedagogy and addressing challenges unique to these populations, informed by both personal and professional insights. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish; Community college teaching experience; Recent acute care nursing experience; Relevant and current teaching experience in a qualified medical facility; and Demonstrated commitment to teaching community college students. Compensation and benefits are subject to the collective bargaining process. There will be paid comprehensive onboarding and training beginning August 1, 2026, but the contract for this position begins on September 1, 2026. This is a tenure track position and will begin the three-year tenure process in fall quarter 2026.
