Job Description
CNA Supervisor / Nursing Assistant Manager - Pediatric Care Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas (PCCA) is an intermediate care facility dedicated to children with complex medical needs. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate CNA Supervisor or Nursing Assistant Manager to provide direct care while overseeing the daily operations of our CNA and patient care staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNA to step into a leadership role while continuing hands-on care for our medically complex pediatric population. CNA Supervisor Overview Under the direction of the Resident Service Coordinator (RSC), the CNA Supervisor / Nursing Assistant Manager provides leadership to CNA/PCT staff, ensures high-quality care, and serves as the first-level resource for staff and residents. This role combines direct patient care with administrative and supervisory responsibilities to ensure that all activities of daily living (ADLs) are completed accurately and efficiently. CNA Supervisor Responsibilities Supervise and delegate tasks to direct care staff, ensuring assignments are understood and completed Assign and communicate staff schedules; coordinate vacation requests and call-ins to maintain adequate coverage Monitor timely response of direct care staff to resident needs, meals, fluids, and ADL completion Enforce adherence to facility policies, procedures, and safety standards Review and ensure direct care staff documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner Assist with staff development, orientation, and skills competency reviews Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living as needed Serve as the first-level contact for staff regarding troubleshooting, complaints, and patient service issues, escalating to RSC as necessary Facilitate the training and onboarding of new direct care staff Address patient concerns with empathy while respecting confidentiality and privacy Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal services to residents in a dynamic environment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Current CNA certification in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations Proven experience as a CNA, PCT, or equivalent, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of direct care experience in pediatric or healthcare settings Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills for staff management and documentation Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize tasks, and make independent decisions in the facility's best interest Compassionate, reliable, team-oriented, and dedicated to providing high-quality care Physical Requirements Ability to move intermittently throughout the day performing activities such as grasping, lifting, and reaching Ability to perform light physical work up to 10 pounds frequently and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted occasionally Capable of functioning independently while maintaining flexibility, integrity, and professionalism Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, and staff Safety sensitive position PCCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
