The following positions are available:
Director of Nursing:
this executive-level position is responsible for the oversight of contracted vendors and the appropriate, timely, professional health services to inmates at the assigned state facilities and/or contracted prisons. This position will lead in the development of methodology for quality assurance audits and compliance with federal and state laws relevant to healthcare practice, ADCRR policies and procedures, various rules and regulations and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) accreditation standards. You must have a Valid Unrestricted Nursing License from AZ Board of Nursing.Healthcare Coordinator:
oversees the contracted healthcare vendors that provide appropriate, timely, and professional care to inmates at the assigned facilities and/or contract private prisons. As the Healthcare Coordinator, this position will monitor and analyze general health care vendor information through direct observation and chart reviews to improve health care delivery. You must have a Valid Unrestricted Nursing License from AZ Board of Nursing.Licensed Mental Health Coordinator:
Audits and reviews the quality assurance pertaining to the mental health services in our 16 correctional facilities. Under the supervision of the Program Evaluation Administrator, this position ensures the contracted vendor provides appropriate, timely, and professional care to inmates at the assigned state facilities and/or contract private prisons. The Licensed Mental Health Coordinator provides feedback to the site level administration, and assists in the development of coordination of care. You must have a Master Degree or higher in a Mental Health related field.Dietitian:
Provides comprehensive dietary and nutrition services for our inmate population and staff. The Dietitian will closely collaborate with the ADCRR Food Services Administrator and contracted Food Services providers to ensure compliance with State and Federal nutrition standards. This position will also partner with ADCRR Programs, Health Services, and the Employee Wellness Unit to promote nutrition education, wellness initiatives, and training for both staff and inmates. Pre-Employment Requirements:
Valid, unrestricted Arizona Board of Nursing license. Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation. In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter. If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following req uirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.)R2-10-207.11
