Nurse Manager-Emergency Department 
FEATURED
4245 Emergency Department Full Time, Day Shift, Mon-Fri; 7 to 5:30pm; Salaried; 4/10 schedule. Pay Range=$120K to 130K annual base rate.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Emergency Department (ED) Nurse Manager reports directly to the Emergency Department Director. The Emergency Department (ED) Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24-hour operational, clinical, and administrative management of the Emergency Department and supervision of ED nursing staff, charge nurses, and support staff. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care while optimizing throughput, staffing, and regulatory compliance. The Nurse Manager collaborates closely with the ED Director, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure:
Current active California Registered Nurse (RN) License. BLS Certification. ACLS Certification. PALS Certification. NIHSS Stroke Certification.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of emergency department nursing experience. At least 2 years of leadership or charge nurse experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in operations, throughput, and staff management.
Other Skills:
Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of ED operations, patient flow, and throughput challenges. Ability to manage competing priorities and high-acuity situations. Effective communication and conflict resolution skills. Data-driven mindset with focus on performance improvement. Requires flexibility to support 24/7 operations, including occasional off-shift presence.
