Job Description

Position:
Wellness Director Job Summary:
The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and well-being of residents while ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and community standards. This leadership role includes administering medications, supporting wellness programs, and ensuring all care protocols are followed meticulously. The Wellness Coordinator will work closely with the leadership team and staff to uphold a high standard of care while fostering a positive and collaborative environment for residents and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Regulations:
Ensure adherence to all healthcare regulations, community policies, and best practices, including accurate documentation for all health and safety requirements.
Staff Management & Training:
Lead and supervise the wellness department staff, fostering a positive team culture. Provide ongoing training and professional development to ensure staff is knowledgeable in current care practices and compliance requirements.
Resident Care & Monitoring:
Oversee and monitor resident health and wellness, ensuring that care plans are regularly updated and individualized. Respond promptly to health concerns, communicating effectively with leadership and care teams.
Medication Administration:
Administer medications accurately and in compliance with safety protocols, ensuring proper storage and inventory management of medications.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
Maintain thorough and up-to-date records on medication administration, resident health updates, and any changes in care plans. Ensure documentation is in compliance with regulations and standards.
Wellness Support:
Develop and support wellness programs aimed at improving resident quality of life, promoting health and safety, and fostering a sense of community.
Collaboration:
Work with the leadership team to ensure coordinated care for residents, while also being a resource for staff regarding health-related issues. Ensure that communication is clear and efficient across departments.
Quality Assurance:
Regularly audit resident care plans, medication logs, and staff compliance with safety protocols to ensure that high standards of care are met.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Minimum of two (2) years of experience in home health and/or hospice care, senior care, assisted living, with prior leadership experience highly preferred. Knowledge in Title 22 is required. Certification in medication management is required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain a positive team culture. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis-management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and leadership to ensure a high standard of care. Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, including documentation requirements, and a commitment to ongoing training.

$66,330.47 - $79,881.86 per year
