We utilize state-of-the-art Giraffe Omni beds, Babylog VN500 vents, and HFOVs to care for infants weighing as little as 450 grams. We provide whole body cooling for infants with HIE and Nitric Oxide for PPHN in extremely sick newborns. Our NICU also features an infant nutrition room, staffed with technicians who prepare donor and expressed breast milk for daily feedings. We encourage you to visit our unit and meet our team! As a Nurse Shift Manager , you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident and be an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit. Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
