About Marina Orthopedic and Spine Institute We are a growing ambulatory surgery center specializing in Orthopedics, Spine, and Pain Management, including an established Total Joint Replacement (TJR) program supported by a full-time Nurse Navigator. Marina Orthopedic and Spine Institute is part of Commons Clinic and serves the greater Los Angeles community.
Facility Snapshot:
40+ surgeons on staff 3 operating rooms 10 Pre-op / PACU bays 23-hour stays for select procedures Full-time staff includes RNs, scrub techs, fluoroscopy techs, SPD, EVS/PCT, front office, and materials management We operate as a close-knit, highly collaborative team. Our staff communicate openly, support one another, and take pride in delivering high-quality, efficient care. Several nurses are cross-trained across the OR and Pre-op/PACU, and we actively invest in continued cross-training to ensure flexibility, strong coverage, and ongoing professional development. This role is ideal for a nursing leader who values hands-on leadership, team cohesion, and operational excellence in a high-performing ASC environment. About The Role The Clinical Nursing Director provides leadership and oversight for all nursing and perioperative services within the surgery center. This is a hands-on leadership role well suited for either: An experienced ASC Nurse, or A strong OR leader (Charge Nurse, OR Manager, or Lead RN) who is ready to step into a Nursing Director role with support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being present in the clinical environment, supporting staff, and helping a small but growing ASC continue to mature. HR-heavy duties are intentionally limited allowing the Clinical Nursing Director to focus on clinical leadership, workflow, quality, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and clinical oversight for nursing and perioperative services Oversee OR workflow, assist with case flow, and help coordinate the daily surgery schedule Relieve staff for lunches and breaks and provide hands-on clinical support as needed Circulate cases as needed (training provided) Work closely with staff, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and medical device representatives to proactively resolve issues Partner with the Total Joint Replacement Nurse Navigator to support patient flow and outcomes Lead QAPI and quality improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with
CMS, AAAHC
accreditation, and regulatory requirements Support infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and policy implementation Promote teamwork and cross-training across OR and Pre-op/PACU This position does not include employee scheduling (handled by two
Charge Nurses:

Base Salary Range:
$155,000 to $175,000 a year The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: work experience, market data, and geographic location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
