$167,974 - $265,150 annually, based on experience and qualifications Overview Avento Health has partnered with a leading acute care hospital in Napa, California to identify a Nurse Manager for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) . This is an on-site nursing leadership role for an experienced RN leader who is ready to oversee clinical operations, support staff development, and help drive quality outcomes in a fast-paced acute care setting. The Nurse Manager will provide 24-hour accountability for the assigned patient care unit and work closely with nurses, physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to support safe, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Maintain 24-hour accountability for clinical leadership and daily operations of the assigned Progressive Care Unit Oversee personnel management, staffing support, fiscal stewardship, and operational performance Support clinical standards, staff development, coaching, and performance improvement Partner with physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members Review practice patterns and help implement improvements that strengthen quality, safety, and patient outcomes Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and applicable state and federal regulations Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, compassionate care, and clinical excellence Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field Active California Registered Nurse license by start date BLS certification through the American Heart Association by start date Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Recent RN experience in an acute care hospital setting Preferred Qualifications Nursing leadership, charge nurse, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, or nurse manager experience Experience in a progressive care unit, PCU, stepdown, intermediate care, telemetry, or similar inpatient setting Experience supporting quality improvement, regulatory compliance, staff development, or unit operations Skills Clinical leadership RN team development and coaching Progressive care, stepdown, telemetry, or acute care nursing Interdisciplinary collaboration Quality improvement and patient safety Regulatory compliance Operational and fiscal oversight Work Environment This is an on-site hospital leadership role within a progressive care setting in Napa, California. The position works closely with clinical and operational teams in a fast-paced acute care environment focused on patient-centered outcomes.
