Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, Nurse Practitioners and the Executive director, the RCM-LVN managers, supervises, coordinates and participates in resident care programs, including the day-to-day oversight of care delivery in conjunction with other interdisciplinary Team (IDT) members. Duties Supervises and coordinates unit nursing staff assignments; and evaluates the need for modifications when appropriate. Assist to develop, interpret, implement, and validate that OHPAC policies and procedures standards of practice, and regulatory guideline are adhered to by unit staff. Communicate nightly reports to DON, NP and ED. Participates in coaching and conducting performance appraisals with unit staff and report to DON. Following up with cubex report and stocking. Works a med cart with patient assignments Identifies, addresses, trouble shoot and problem solving Mar cart audit 24 hour chart check Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrates knowledge of nursing process, particularly as it relates to geriatric residents, long-term care, and rehabilitation. Requires mental maturity to deal with fast-paced environment and occasionally combative residents. Requires tolerance for body secretions, strong odors, exposure to diseases, and varied room temperatures. Demonstrated ability to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension) in order to understand, plan, and carry out resident care plans and treatments. Education, Licensure and Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
