Certification Productivity software MAB Delegation Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Reporting to the Nursing Director or Manager, this position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Redlands Community Hospital. It is expected the employee demonstrates behavior consistent with our Standards of Performance. The Charge Nurse adheres to the Patient's First Philosophy of Safety, Compassion, and Efficiency. S/he is able to coordinate care not only for individual patients, but also to lead the care delivery of multiple patients in the nursing care area in accordance with policies and procedures of the Hospital. S/he collaborates with other professional disciplines/unit leaders to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery. S/he is responsible for assigning nursing personnel to specific patients for whom they will care for based upon their skill, experience and temperament, and the acuity of the patients. This position serves as resource of information and coordinates all activities within the department. Responsibilities and related duties to be carried out by the Charge Nurse as delegated by the Nurse Manager with the appropriate level of authority and ability to utilize independent judgment to ensure compliance. Ability to meet all job physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation. 1. Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse required. 2. Current CPR Certification required. 3. Current ACLS Certificate required. 4. Current PALS or ENPC certificate required within 3 month of hire. 5. Current MICN license preferred at hire, required within 1 year of hire. 6. Current MAB certificate required within 6 months of hire. 7. Current NIHSS certificate required within 6 months of hire. 8. EMTALA education required (Must have 8 CEU's every two years) 9. CEN preferred. 10. BSN preferred, MSN desirable. 11. Demonstrated expertise in the clinical area, and leadership ability preferred. 12. Must be proficient in Word, XLS, and email functions. (Must be computer literate)Similar jobs in Redlands, CA
