Where You'll Work Bruceville Terrace has been providing quality, compassionate care since 1989. Licensed as the 171-bed sub-acute skilled nursing facility of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, Bruceville Terrace offers care for the elderly, as well as those requiring extended recoveries. Bruceville Terrace provides skilled nursing, rehabilitative and complex medical services to our patients and residents using an interdisciplinary team approach. Over half of the facility is dedicated to skilled nursing/convalescent care, while the remaining beds are committed to meet the medical and rehabilitative needs of the short-term patient after a stay at the acute care hospital.

One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Skilled Nursing Supervisor (RN), you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit. Effectively directs nursing practice and supports the interdisciplinary team process. Creates and maintains a professional environment that promotes recruitment and retention of qualified staff. Plans, directs and supervises nursing and healthcare services while maintaining an appropriate skill mix to provide quality care. Defines job expectations and lines of authority as well as communicating standards of practice and serving as clinical resource. Collaborates effectively with key physicians, nursing, therapy and other ancillary services to manage the care of the patient in the most cost-effective and quality driven manner. Participates effectively in CQI projects. Job Requirements Recent Skilled Nursing experience, with 1of the 2 years in a progressive leadershiprole California Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
