Job Description

This highly respected Central Coast healthcare organization is seeking an Operating Room Nurse Manager for an exciting leadership opportunity within a close-knit perioperative team. The Operating Room Nurse Manager reports directly to senior nursing leadership and serves as the primary leader for Perioperative Services. This role collaborates closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, finance, and support departments to ensure seamless surgical operations. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will provide leadership and mentorship to a team of approximately 15 FTEs while supporting departmental goals and organizational initiatives. The Operating Room Nurse Manager oversees a perioperative department that includes Operating Room and PACU services. The department is well staffed and operates in a collaborative environment where teamwork and patient safety remain top priorities. With three operating rooms available and one surgical suite routinely in use, the Operating Room Nurse Manager will have the opportunity to lead a highly engaged team that values quality, efficiency, and exceptional patient care. The Operating Room Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial oversight of Perioperative Services. This leader will guide staff development, competency programs, regulatory readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety efforts while ensuring compliance with AORN, ASPAN, Joint Commission, and state standards. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will also oversee staffing, budgeting, equipment planning, physician collaboration, and preparation for upcoming accreditation activities, helping position the department for continued success.
