One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Nurse Shift Manager, you'll oversee the Med Surg Ortho 3 East department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit. Some of your main responsibilites will be: Planning the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit during an assigned shift. Supervising nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level. Anticipating staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them. Overseeing stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts. $5,000 Sign on for eligible new hires.
Job Requirements Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in Nursing 2 years of clinical experience as a
RN Licensure and Certifications:
Current CA RN license BLS through American Heart Association
