The candidate will also be a member of the nursing leadership team ensuring patient and staff safety. Desired candidate will be able to provide guidance and support to all staff and promote a positive work culture. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound leadership skills and utilizes these skills in organizing the activities and schedules for medical and/or non-medical tasks of the Adolescent and Adult for a given shift; record of consistently high quality of clinical and interpersonal skills to be an exemplary role model to others; displays basic knowledge of treatment procedures; interventions common to acute psychotic as well as non-violent crises intervention practice; basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the adolescent psychiatric population, application of this knowledge to adolescent or adult knowledge of medical terminology, especially those terms associated with adolescent or adult psychiatric care; thorough familiarity of psycho-pharmacy and the use of psychotropic medications with adolescent or adult psychiatric population, basic teaching and training skills helpful; problem-solving; organizational and time management; crisis intervention skills; written and oral communication skills; skills in facilitating and/or co-facilitating process-oriented and didactic groups. (or to be obtained within 30 days upon hire) Responsibilities Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical practices. Manage patient admissions and discharges, ensuring compliance with protocols. Implement and monitor care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient needs. Facilitate communication among healthcare teams and resolve conflicts effectively. Conduct staff training and performance evaluations to enhance team skills. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to EHR systems. Summary As an RN House Supervisor, you will oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care within the facility. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, your core responsibilities will include management, crisis intervention, and effective communication. Utilizing your skills in EHR systems and nursing management, you will coordinate patient care and support staff development. Your premium experience in critical care and team management will be essential in fostering a collaborative environment. With a focus on leadership and organizational skills, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and enhancing patient outcomes.
