We also love to have fun and bring joy to our community! Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Unit Manager-RN/LPN to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations on your assigned unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while managing a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your leadership will foster a positive environment that promotes safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and staff development in a fast-paced, supportive setting. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), ensuring optimal staffing levels and effective team collaboration. Oversee patient care activities, including assessments, medication administration, IV infusion, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring to ensure high-quality treatment. Develop and implement individualized care plans in accordance with medical directives, patient needs, and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and NCQA. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and safety procedures across all clinical activities. Manage documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, maintaining accurate medical records and medical documentation. Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, case managers, and families to coordinate discharge planning and long-term care strategies. Conduct regular staff performance evaluations, provide coaching and training opportunities, and supervise ongoing professional development initiatives. Skills Extensive knowledge of nursing practices including patient assessment, physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or PCC for documentation and patient management. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience supervising nursing teams in settings like hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home care environments. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or those requiring dementia or memory care; experience with behavioral health is a plus. Competence in medical procedures including phlebotomy, injection administration, sterile processing techniques, tube feeding management, catheterization, and basic life support (BLS). Excellent communication skills for patient assessment discussions, triage decisions, family interactions and team coordination.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
