Overview Saint Francis Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Unit , a newly renovated 32-bed unit and nationally recognized Center of Excellence for Heart Failure . This leadership role supports patients with acute and chronic CHF , AFib, CAD, STEMI, pacemaker/ICD placements, and future LVAD services . The Nurse Leader I provides frontline leadership, operational oversight, and staff support while promoting evidence-based care and a respectful, healing environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise charge nurses and frontline clinical staff Coordinate staffing, scheduling, assignments, and unit throughput Support performance management, coaching, and staff development Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards Promote evidence-based practice and clinical excellence Lead teams through change, improvement initiatives, and innovation Foster a respectful, inclusive, and healing work environment Build strong relationships through compassionate, effective communication
Qualifications Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program Active RN license in Connecticut Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred:
