In the Home Health and Hospice environment—the Nurse Manager Hospice Care will guide a program recognized for high-quality care at a 150+ bed community hospital known as the #1 hospital in the state for preventing hospital-acquired infections, with a strong focus on patient safety, a dedicated and recently expanded emergency center, and a wide range of services including advanced robotic surgery; hospice services deliver comprehensive, patient-centered end-of-life care grounded in comfort, dignity, and quality of life, evidenced by a 99.6% HIS quality score, and supported by 24/7 on-call support, personalized care plans, specialized dementia programs, and holistic support for families.

Reporting to the Director of Home Health and Hospice within Nursing Services, the Nurse Manager Hospice Care partners closely with clinical education, quality, and medical leadership and is supported by compassionate nurses, social work, chaplaincy, therapy, and case management inside a diverse, collaborative team; responsibilities for the Nurse Manager Palliative Care scope include daily operations, staffing and schedules, mentoring and professional development, budget stewardship, regulatory readiness (CMS, Joint Commission), clinical pathways and order sets, interdisciplinary care coordination, community partnerships, and performance improvement across HIS and patient experience measures—all within a warm, collegial culture where friendly nurses and allied professionals elevate one another.
