This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of ICU operations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The position is ideal for a seasoned nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced, clinical environment. This is an onsite position based in Fairfield County, CT.
ICU Nurse Manager's Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage a team of 20 ICU nurses, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Oversee staffing, scheduling, time and attendance, and resource allocation to ensure optimal unit coverage. Manage departmental budget and monitor expenses to align with organizational goals. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of patient care and safety. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality initiatives within the
ICU. ICU
Nurse Manager's Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Current CT RN license required. Minimum of 5 years of nursing management experience, preferably in an ICU setting. Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices and ICU operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and scheduling effectively.
