Job Description

Overview Since opening more than 59 years ago, UF Health Leesburg Hospital has built a strong reputation as a leading medical center and the most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. The hospital offers advanced cardiovascular care, including one of the largest open-heart programs in Florida. The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital's expertise and commitment to treating patients with chest pain by awarding Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primacy PCI and Resuscitation—its highest level of accreditation. In addition, the hospital provides world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic surgery, life-saving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor & delivery, and a wide range of other services. We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager who is dedicated to collaboration, operational excellence, and delivering patient-centered care Responsibilities They will demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and have the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. Skilled in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services for our patient population. Assures quality of care is delivered for our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. They are the change agent for the assigned areas of responsibility and are responsible for implementing any changes that the unit is required to undergo. Actively participates in outstanding customer service, including service to patients, families, physicians, and other contacts, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree, strongly preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration Current, active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Professional certification from a nationally recognized organization Experience Minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing experience Prior leadership or management experience Additional experience as appropriate to the assigned unit(s) Special Skills & Qualifications Maintains and exceeds all specialty-specific educational and competency requirements Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and organizational skills
Qualifications:
