Job Title:

Clinical Nurse Manager (Florida PACE Centers) Job Summary Responsible for maintaining twenty-four (24) hours accountability for the Florida PACE Medical Clinic; Shapes and interprets the philosophy and definition of nursing as it relates to short and long-term planning, program development, resource and budget management, quality assurance and systems utilization. Essential Job Functions Participates in the selection, training, evaluation, coaching and counseling of staff Supervises patient care delivery and staff assignments and ensures that care is consistent with patient care requirements Evaluates compliance with established standards and regulatory agencies and takes appropriate action Ensures that all local, State, Federal and Joint Commission standards, survey preparation and compliance are met for areas of responsibility Ensures compliance with medical record documentation Implements policies, procedures and programs and monitors for compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies Participates in Quality Management Program and risk management activities Ensures both staff and own personal and professional development through attendance of in-services, meetings and continuing education courses

Job Requirements Education:

Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

Experience:

Five years of progressive experience in clinical positions Minimum of three years of management experience required

Licenses/Certifications:

Current RN license by the Florida State Board of Nursing Current BLS Certification required ACLS preferred ANCC or specialty certification preferred Abilities Required Skills in clinical decision-making, communication, budgeting, program development, human relations, and quality assurance Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements Ability to use communication, problem-solving, and clinical management skills to influence staff utilization and motivation, public relations, and inter-and -intra departmental relations Demonstrates a caring attitude toward MJHS residents, patients, family members, employees, and other facility guests
