Miami Jewish Health is one of the largest providers of healthcare and living options for aging adults in the Southeast. We operate Florida PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Centers, the largest PACE program in Florida, which serves as health plan, healthcare provider, and social center designed for older adults with complex medical needs. Job Title:
Clinical Nurse Manager (Florida PACE Centers) Job SummaryResponsible for maintaining twenty-four (24) hours accountability for the Florida PACE Medical Clinic; Shapes and interprets the philosophy and definition of nursing as it relates to short and long-term planning, program development, resource and budget management, quality assurance and systems utilization. Essential Job Functions Participates in the selection, training, evaluation, coaching and counseling of staffSupervises patient care delivery and staff assignments and ensures that care is consistent with patient care requirementsEvaluates compliance with established standards and regulatory agencies and takes appropriate action Ensures that all local, State, Federal and Joint Commission standards, survey preparation and compliance are met for areas of responsibilityEnsures compliance with medical record documentationImplements policies, procedures and programs and monitors for compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agenciesParticipates in Quality Management Program and risk management activitiesEnsures both staff and own personal and professional development through attendance of in-services, meetings and continuing education courses
Job Requirements Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
Experience:
Five years of progressive experience in clinical positionsMinimum of three years of management experience required
Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN license by the Florida State Board of NursingCurrent BLS Certification requiredACLS preferredANCC or specialty certification preferred Abilities Required Skills in clinical decision-making, communication, budgeting, program development, human relations, and quality assuranceKnowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirementsAbility to use communication, problem-solving, and clinical management skills to influence staff utilization and motivation, public relations, and inter-and -intra departmental relationsDemonstrates a caring attitude toward MJHS residents, patients, family members, employees, and other facility guests
Functional Demands Environment Work Conditions:
Normal working condition with adequate lighting and ventilationToxic or caustic chemicals; bio-hazardous waste; flammable, explosive gas
Infectious Material Exposure:
