Coordinate and supervises departmental activities serving as an active member of the interdisciplinary team. Facilitates appropriate patient scheduling based on the clinical need and expedites flow of patients within the department and is available to all staff as a resource. Facilitates effective communication with administration, patients, physician offices and staff and allocates resources to promote efficient, effective, and compassionate patient care. Ensures appropriate staffing and monitors staff. Oversees staff clinical performance and contributes to performance evaluations. Monitors and audits compliance with regulatory standards. Assumes manager responsibilities in his/her absence. Participates on committees, task forces and/or activities as assigned. Supports the decisions of the clinical manager, home health leadership and hospital administration
Requirements Education:
(minimum) Associate Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor of Science Degree n Nursing (BSN) preferred. Bachelor'sDegree in one of the following: Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Language Pathology (SLP) required.
Experience:
Five ( 5) years clinical experience preferred.
Certification:
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) required.
License:
Valid Florida Drivers license within 30 days of employment required.
State of Florida licensure required:
RN, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology.
Other:
Effective analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills, problem solving skills, leadership characteristics and strong work ethic.
