EC Transfer Center Specialist Tallahassee Memorial - 3.4 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides care to a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. Qualifications Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Required Experience:
Six (6) months of healthcare, customer service, or medical terminology experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) or more years of healthcare related experience in dispatching, transfer centers, admissions, emergency medical services (EMS), acute care, etc. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or similar credential(s). Basic proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office.

Responsibilities Facilitates and documents communication, acceptance, and/or denial of patients seeking admission or transfer into or from Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) in a call center setting. Facilitates communication between TMH physicians, the TMH Emergency Center, and transferring providers and facilities. Assists the Bed Management Team and the charge registered nurse (RN) in managing direct admits, transfers into the hospital, and emergency admissions.
