Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Assists the ICU nurse with telemedicine consult and physician examination/evaluation. Assists with transport of inpatient stroke alert to and from CT scan. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training. Requirements Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred. Minimum of one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty. Current Florida nursing license. Current Chemotherapy Certification for nurses hanging Chemotherapy Treatments. Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
