The Charge Nurse is responsible for providing assistance with resident admissions, direct, hands-on resident care, including but not limited to: medication passes, wound care/treatments, ADLs, documentation & charting and supervising/providing leadership to Nurses and CNAs. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse nursing care to those patients/residents while remaining patient and calm. Responsibilities (overview): Provide proper supervision and guidance to the Nursing & CNA team Admissions coordination/assistance. Wound Care rounding Resident Assessments Care Plan meetings Assist with providing proper supervision to the floor Nursing staff Provide Nursing Floor Coverage (fill-in) when needed Provide quality resident care and services from Nursing perspective Communicate with residents' family to provide advice, comfort and release instructions Skills (overview): Proven experience as an LPN Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with long-term care/hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical, long-term care and hospital terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Perfect physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stressful situations in a positive and professional manner Current & active LPN license is required If you are interested in working in Long Term Care and are a caring, compassionate nurse that can make a difference in the lives of senior adults, then we would be interested in meeting you.
