JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general direction of the Director of Medicare Certified Services, the Nursing Clinical Manager has oversight over all services in the Medicare Certified Division and oversees and coordinates nursing clinical services. The Nursing Clinical Manager works collaboratively with the Rehab Clinical Manager to ensure the patient receives coordinated, patient-centered care.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

Occasional:

lifting and carrying usual weight up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds of force.

Continuous:

reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.

Frequent:

standing, walking, stooping/bending, and twisting body.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Occasionally subjected to blood borne pathogens.

VI. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE

Bachelor's degree in nursing; OR associate's degree in nursing with a bachelor's degree in a Science. Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse. Valid U.S. driver's license, vehicle and vehicle insurance as required by Hawaii State law. Driver's abstract or evidence of good driving record.

B. EXPERIENCE

In addition to the educational requirement, one (1) year experience as a Medicare Certified Home Health Nurse, preferably in a comparable institution. One (1) year supervisory/leadership experience. Knowledge of discipline-specific therapy theory and practice in their field to treat patients. Knowledge and use of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, and the public.
