Hiawatha Care Center, located in Hiawatha, Iowa, is seeking individuals who want stability, a safe and clean workplace, and space to be passionate about their work. Since our foundation in 1995, we have strived to uphold and honor the key principles around resident care. Our experienced and tenured staff care for our residents while focusing on their needs, our high standards, and quality, compassionate focused care. We are seeking an LPN or RN to join us full time on our evening shift, which is from 6pm to 6am. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with evaluating residents' conditions and needs, communicating with family members as needed and ordering medications. In this role they are also responsible for arranging schedules, appointments, and transportation for residents, overseeing admission, discharge and transfer of residents and supervising on shift CNA staff. Our Charge nurse would possess critical thinking skills, be a strong communicator, and lead a team with compassion and a positive attitude. In this role, they would be adaptable to changes, have a high attention to detail, and be a strong, self-assured leader who is committed to developing their team.

Charge Nurse Wage:

• LPN
• $35 per hour
• RN•40 per hour • Weekend Bonus•$5 additional per hour worked on Saturday and Sunday!

The education requirements are:

• Current Iowa RN or LPN license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• LPN only
• has completed or will complete Long Term Care Supervisors
• Previous RN or LPN experience preferred
