$16.60 per hour Position Overview We are seeking dependable, professional, and compassionate Security Officers to provide a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, visitors, and property at a nursing home facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere for elderly residents. Key Responsibilities Monitor and patrol the nursing home facility, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and common areas. Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity and promote safety. Control access to the facility and verify visitor authorization in accordance with facility policies. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and resident or staff concerns. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems. Assist residents, visitors, and staff by providing information and directions when needed. Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation. Report safety hazards, suspicious activity, security breaches, or maintenance concerns to management. Assist emergency responders during medical emergencies, fire alarms, or evacuation procedures. Support facility staff in maintaining a safe, respectful, and orderly environment. Qualifications Previous security experience preferred but not required. Experience in healthcare, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or customer service environments is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with elderly residents, visitors, and staff. Strong observation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. A valid Illinois PERC Card and 20-Hour Security Certificate Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Authorization to work in the United States. Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations. Why Join Our Team?
