Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead the clinical operations of our community. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing resident care, managing nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting the overall health and wellness of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the nursing and care team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to ensure high-quality care delivery Oversee and conduct resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and health monitoring Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations and standards Serve as the primary clinical liaison for residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans based on resident needs and changes in condition Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance Lead quality assurance initiatives and participate in internal audits and surveys Provide on-call support as needed and respond to emergencies or changes in resident status Train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; support professional development and retention efforts Coordinate with other departments to support holistic resident care Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe, sanitary environment Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Completion of an accredited school of nursing program Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of practice; compact license may be acceptable depending on state requirements CPR/BLS certification required Prior clinical leadership experience required, long-term care or similar setting preferred Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills Must pass required criminal background check in order to serve vulnerable adults Must be screened TB and other state-required health care conditions Be able to read, write, and comprehend
English Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Indoors, climate-controlled assisted living facility with a focus on personalized care Requires physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents Possible exposure to unpleasant odors. Possible exposure to chemicals as indicated in the MSDS manual. Continuous exposure to clients and/or family members who may be under stress.
