Operating Room Supervisor (RN) Opportunity - Rockford, IL Direct Hire | Full-Time | Leadership Role A leading healthcare organization in Rockford, IL is seeking an experienced Operating Room Supervisor (RN) to lead a high-performing surgical services team. Position Overview Permanent, full-time leadership position Supervise daily operations of a busy Surgical Services department Lead and support OR nursing staff in a fast-paced environment Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership Focus on quality, patient safety, staffing, and operational efficiency Compensation & Incentives Competitive salary based on experience $10,000 sign-on bonus (2-year commitment required) Relocation assistance provided Comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the Operating Room Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to OR staff Assist with staffing, scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards Support performance improvement initiatives and departmental goals Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Serve as a clinical resource and leader within Surgical Services Assist with staff education, onboarding, and professional development Requirements Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Experience & Skills Current Operating Room nursing experience required Charge Nurse experience required Minimum 2-3 years of progressively responsible Operating Room experience required Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience managing multiple priorities in a high-volume surgical environment Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and best practices Licensure & Certifications Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (Required) Unit & Facility Details 15 operating rooms Approximately 25-45 surgical cases per day Diverse case mix including: General Surgery Gynecology Urology Plastic Surgery Robotics Neurosurgery Orthopedics Spine Surgery EENT (Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat) Cardiothoracic Surgery Schedule Full-time leadership position Schedule details discussed during interview Additional leadership responsibilities as needed to support department operations Why This Opportunity This role offers an exciting opportunity to step into OR leadership within a high-volume surgical program.
