Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor, where your leadership and clinical expertise will ensure exceptional patient care during weekend shifts. In this vital role, you will oversee nursing operations, coordinate patient assessments, and manage a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your proactive approach will foster a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for patients with diverse needs, including those requiring acute care, geriatrics, behavioral health, and specialized medical services. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts to ensure high-quality patient care across multiple departments Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and catheter care in accordance with facility protocols and HIPAA regulations. Ensure accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning strategies and coordinate follow-up care for patients with complex needs including dementia care or long-term disabilities. Provide mentorship to new nurses, and ensure adherence to safety standards including infection control and aseptic techniques. Qualifications Valid RN license with current state registration; prior supervisory or team management experience perferred. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluation. Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership; ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), IV insertion/injection administration, sterile technique training, or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) are highly desirable.
